Judge Prospecting for The Rockies Award Competition

The Rockies Awards competition celebrates the pinnacle of creative excellence in advertising, recognizing the outstanding talent and energy within Idaho’s advertising community. Unique in its structure, The Rockies is an award show created by and for local professionals, independent of other major competitions. The event honors exceptional work at every level, from individual achievements (Citations of Excellence) to the prestigious Gold and Silver Rockies, awarded for the best in category and class. The coveted Best of The Rockies trophy is awarded to the top entry, crowning it as the Best of Show.

In addition, all Gold and Silver Rockies winners are eligible to compete in the Northwest creative competition of the American Advertising Awards, with Gold Rockies automatically forwarded to the regional level. This is a unique opportunity for Idaho’s finest creative work to shine both locally and on a larger stage.

Judge Selection Criteria

To ensure a fair and unbiased judging process, The Rockies competition has specific selection criteria for its panel of judges:

  • Judges who have not worked with Idaho-based agencies or advertisers

  • Judges who do not have significant personal or professional connections in the Idaho advertising market

This policy guarantees that the judging panel remains impartial, providing a level playing field for all participants, free from any local influence. It helps ensure that every entry is judged based on merit alone.

  • Creative Leaders:

    • Creative Director (CD)

    • Chief Creative Officer (CCO)

    • Associate Creative Director (ACD)

    • Head of Creative

  • Design Leaders:

    • Art Director

    • Design Director

    • Senior Designer

    • Content Creator

    • Producer

  • Copywriting Leaders:

    • Senior Copywriter

    • Content Writer
